Star Wars Day is fast-approaching, and we have the May the 4th events you’re looking for. Of course, we thought you deserved something extra special this year. That’s why we’re adding a 25% OFF sale on all games, toys, comics and graphic novels to anyone wearing their Star Wars best or cosplay! There will also be awesome activities at our stores like Star Wars trivia, a Star Wars movie marathon, Padawan Storytime, as well as crafts. Thrill young brains with a Rebel Rescue game or have a meet-and-greet with Star Wars characters. Sign up for the sci-fi comic book creation with RealTimeSTEAM and find the missing Death Star plans at Phoenix. There’s so much fun in store on Star Wars Day!

Geeky gamers will want to sign up for the Super Smash Bros. tournaments at Bookmans Mesa, Flagstaff, Midtown, East, as well as Northwest. Are robots more your speed? Flagstaff is having Robot Races with Coconuts is happening on May 23. They’re also celebrating spring by giving everyone a chance to win VIP Hullabaloo Giveaway all month long!
Got a geek mom in your life? We’ve got Mother’s Day gifting and events covered at Bookmans! Moms geek out too, and East has the perfect Mother’s Day event for mom to shine on May 12. Sign up for Studio Nights: Mother’s Day Sculptures at Mesa. The Studio Nights art event at Phoenix invites guests to hang out with mom for a special Mother’s Day painting session. Bookmans is hosting board game and RPG game nights, as well as Dungeons & Dragons at Midtown, Northwest, and Beginner’s Dungeons & Dragons in Phoenix. There’s even a Pokemon Pileup-themed Studio Night at East and a Pikachu Pop-Up Party in the Valley. Bookmans and many other local businesses in NW Tucson are celebrating the re-opening of Ina Road with an Ina Road Celebration Weekend! Bookmans will be there with free comics for Free Comic Book Dayf. Speaking of community, geek out on giving back at the Bookmans Blood Drive on May 12!
If you geek out on all things literary but aren’t big on conversations, you’ll want to check out Bookmans Midtown’s new Silent Book Club. We think it’s going to be a (quiet) hit! Another new book club, Phoenix’s horror book club Better Read than Dead, is tackling their first horror read in May – Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

No matter if you’re a beginner and want to learn how to play guitar or are already a seasoned strummer who wouldn’t mind showing off your ukulele skills, we’ve got the music geek in your covered.
